The fantasy MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online is slowly reaching the finish line. The crucial launch on the consoles Xbox One and Playstation 4 is accompanied by a final trailer.
In the past weeks, there has been a trailer for TESO each week, today came the last one from Zenimax. This week’s trailer focuses on “exploration”, on crafting, showcasing the vastness of the world of Tamriel and the many monsters and interesting personalities that inhabit it, who can definitely turn into monsters as well.
The release on Playstation 4 and Xbox One is imminent, set to take place on June 9. Therefore, even though this was nominally the last of the three-part trailer series, we should hear and see a lot more from The Elder Scrolls Online in the coming days.
The console launch itself can be regarded as a kind of “moment of truth” for TESO. A lot has been done in the last year to ensure the game is in a state to attract and excite console players. As an AAA Buy2Play MMORPG on consoles, it can break new ground: On Playstation, there is only Final Fantasy XIV as direct competition, and on Xbox One, Neverwinter.
Zenimax is surely expecting a lot from the console launch. It will be interesting to see if players will embrace it despite such a long delay.
