In The Elder Scrolls Online, the Imperial City is now live on all platforms. With it, the Veteran Rank has risen to 16. Will it continue to rise or will it be abolished?
It took a long time. Players have been looking forward to the Imperial City all year round. Now it is finally live on the consoles. What comes next?
We already know that the next DLC will be more of a PvE affair: Orsinium is set to come. An adventure area. That is scheduled for Q4 2015.
Will TESO abolish or expand the Veteran Rank?
The question is: What will happen to the Veteran Rank system? It was supposed to be abolished and replaced by the Champion system. Now the maximum rank has increased again with the Imperial City, up to VR 16. If this continues, will the VR also rise with Orsinium, will there be a new maximum level?
In one of the recent ESO Live events, there was new information about this:
It has been stated that with Orsinium, the Veteran Rank will NOT be increased. After the release of the DLC, there will be discussions on how the Veteran Ranks can be completely abolished.
This has been the plan for over a year now.
We should receive more details about Orsinium and what the next months will look like for The Elder Scrolls Online in the coming weeks. Zenimax wanted to wait until the Imperial City was released.
