The mobile MMO The Elder Scrolls Blades is set to be released soon according to hints from the App Store. What is the truth? We inquired with Bethesda.
Update on March 28: In the night leading to Thursday, the Early Access of The Elder Scrolls Blade started out of nowhere. The download is already working on devices with iOS and also on Android if beta APKs are allowed. We can also confirm that the mobile RPG is already “playable,” but in our case, only up to the tutorial. After registering with Bethesda, it doesn’t progress any further. Many users are also reporting that they are currently facing the following message. It states in the app:
To provide all players with a smooth experience, we are limiting access to Blades during the release phase.

Here, we can only wait.

Start of the original message from March 27:
When is The Elder Scrolls Blades coming? In the Facebook group for ESO, we were pointed out that the launch of The Elder Scrolls Blades is apparently imminent.
A user was already looking forward to finally testing out his brand new smartphone in a week. Overall, the anticipation for the graphic powerhouse for mobile was very high.

According to Facebook users, a date appeared on the App Store’s page. The game is supposed to be released on March 31, 2019. That would be this coming Sunday!
All about the release of TES Blades
What’s behind the date: Since we had not received any information from the developer about this in advance, we became curious and immediately inquired with Bethesda. Unfortunately, the answer was disappointing:
The date of March 31, 2019, would only be a placeholder to mark the quarter.
It was by no means meant as a concrete launch date.
When is The Elder Scrolls Blades really coming? Unfortunately, we don’t know that either. However, the fact that Bethesda has indicated the first quarter as a rough timeframe suggests a forthcoming release, even though the quarter itself actually ends on March 31 and it seems unlikely that a release date will be reached.
The next step towards release, according to Bethesda, is the early release. However, they didn’t want to announce a date for that either. It could possibly happen very suddenly.
If we learn more, we will let you know.
