In The Division, Update 1.8 has been revealed. It brings a map expansion and two new modes – here is the reveal trailer.
So it is! In recent days, Massive teased something on the official Twitter channel of The Division. The hints suggested that the enemy factions would unite to attack the Division agents together. The community wondered if these could be teasers for Update 1.8 – and now it has come to pass!
Today, August 30th, a reveal trailer for Update 1.8 was released at 6 PM. This update is named “Resistance”. We embed the trailer for you:

This content is announced in the trailer:
- A map expansion: The map will open to the west, to the West-Side Pier. There is a museum ship stationed there, the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum. This ship was discovered shortly after the launch of The Division in spring 2016 due to glitches. Apparently, it will soon be in the game.
- A new PvE mode called Resistance – up to 4 agents must survive waves of enemies from all factions.
- A new PvP mode called Skirmish – two teams of 4 players each compete against each other. The one with the most kills before time runs out wins.
- There is information that the enemies are now cooperating. They have decided that we, the agents, are their common enemy:
Furthermore, there is important information: On August 31st at 5 PM, more details about Update 1.8 will be given. Typically, the State of the Game takes place at this time. We will report on it.

- Update 1.8 is free for everyone.
- It will be released on all platforms and is set to be the largest update yet for The Division.
- The release date is set for fall 2017.
- In the new zone, there will be a new social space: Camp Clinton. There you can equip yourself and meet with other agents.

- Improvements to the rogue mechanic.
- Gear changes that allow you to improve the stats on your favorite items.
