In the shared-world shooter The Division, we present the high-end submachine gun T821 – police version. How does it compare to the other SMGs?
In Ubisoft’s The Division, there are currently six different variants of submachine guns, with the Vector and AUG SMGs particularly in the spotlight since the launch. This type of weapon shines especially at distances under 20 meters.

What can the T821 – police version do in The Division?
The T821 – police version has the same weapon type as the Midas in The Division, but is overshadowed by the “big” submachine guns Vector and AUG. However, it does not need to hide: in terms of damage, it is similar to the Vector – it just has slightly lower performance.
The T821 stands out mainly due to its optimal range (17m) and the shortest reload time of all submachine guns (2.2s). In addition to a large magazine size, it also offers solid precision and stability compared to the other SMGs. However, it has by far the lowest fire rate of 550.

If you acquire the T821 – police version from the specialist merchant, you will receive useful, even good talents:
- Deadly: The damage from critical hits is increased by 27% (firearms: 2063).
- Skilled: Using a skill improves the weapon handling for 13.5 seconds (firearms: 2579).
- Malicious: The chance of critical hits is increased by 13.5% while at full health (always active).
Additionally, the submachine gun has a bonus of +21% critical hit chance.
The YouTuber Skill Up recommends mods that increase headshot damage and stability. You can also rely on mods that compensate for the low fire rate. The T821 – police version also benefits from an extended magazine.
Is it worth buying the T821 – police version?
In principle, submachine guns are currently a must-have in the arsenal of every agent. However, how the fun will look after the upcoming balance changes in The Division remains to be seen. If you haven’t found a submachine gun that suits you yet, you can confidently grab this one. However, you will need 825 Phoenix credits for that.
If you already own a strong AUG A3 Para XS in The Division, you will not get a better SMG with the T821 – police version. It’s better to invest your Phoenix credits elsewhere.
