In The Division, a new glitch has been made public, which threatens the game balance of the Dark Zone. Rogues hide in a statue to gain invulnerability.
The Dark Zone is supposed to be the most dangerous and exciting place in Tom Clancy’s The Division. Especially when one becomes rogue and possibly even receives the player hunting status, this PvP area provides extraordinary thrills. When the entire Dark Zone is after you, your survival is in great danger.
“Statue Glitch” causes anger in The Division
Some agents on reddit have apparently found a way to circumvent this thrill: They “glitch” themselves into a statue in the Dark Zone as soon as they become rogue to become invulnerable. Neither bullets nor explosions can harm them. Now they let the rogue timer run down comfortably and collect the reward for it.
There is no doubt that this is a severe intervention in the game balance of the Dark Zone. The rogue status becomes no challenge due to this glitch, which is certainly not the point. However, some agents are already turning the tables and are waiting near this statue to eliminate potential glitchers before they can disappear into the statue.
No statement from Ubisoft Massive regarding the solution to the problem has been made yet. On reddit, people hope that this glitch will now gain notoriety and thus be quickly fixed by the developers.
