In The Division 1.8, Division-Tech is a resource needed for the optimization station. We will show you how to farm Division-Tech efficiently.
In Update 1.8, Division-Tech gains a new significance – it is needed for the optimization station. Here is a farming route for Division-Tech:
You start in DZ06 in the west near W53rd St. Then you run through the crates that MarcoStyle shows you in the video. The entire run is within DZ06 and DZ05 – the paths are quite short. The video shows the locations of Division-Tech crates and sealed crates. You will need to extract the latter first, but they will then drop a lot of Division-Tech.
After you have extracted the crates, you can switch servers and then repeat the run. The crates should be filled again.

Division Tech is a crafting material that you can only find in the Dark Zone. It appears in three rarity tiers: Standard, Specialized, and High-End. While you can convert the green and blue Division Tech into other crafting materials, you need High-End Division Tech to craft High-End items.Arekkz Gaming presents you with a route in the Dark Zone where you will find a lot of Division Tech.
This is the “Division Tech Route” in the Dark Zone
This route leads through the entire Dark Zone, from DZ01 to DZ06, that is from south to the very north. You will encounter many enemies, but it’s best to ignore them if the situation allows. You just need to run to the Division-Tech crates, which are spread throughout the Dark Zone. The exact locations of these crates and how to efficiently loot them can be found in the following video. It starts at 1:20.
Attention: On this route, you will not find all the crates with Division Tech that are scattered around the Dark Zone. However, this route is an efficient way to farm this resource quickly.
You can also run this route solo. However, in a team, it may go faster, as you sometimes need to eliminate enemies to access the crates. Tips for a solo build can be found here. These Division Tech crates have a cooldown time of two hours. Only after this time can you farm this crafting material again.
Or: If a friend of yours is currently online, you can join him. In his “game world”, the crates are still filled, and you can go back to searching for them. So if you don’t want to wait for two hours, this tip can save you a lot of time.
