The upcoming shooter Tom Clancy’s The Division is making waves with a series of videos produced in the style of one of the new gritty TV series from the USA.

The backstory of The Division: A virus is released in New York. Civilization collapses. Looting, murder, and manslaughter occur. On the prison island Rikers Island, a gang breaks out and wants to push into the power vacuum left by the police and other law enforcers as the plague spread and they retreated from Manhattan. Another group grabs flamethrowers, burning down anyone they see: He might have the virus.

In this atmosphere, the “Division” is activated, a group of sleeper agents who are to intervene only when everything else goes wrong.

Those who have heard the story might think: You could also make a TV series in the style of “24” or “Homeland” out of this, whose requests have been raised.

Ubisoft approached the experts from Corridor Digital, known for achieving a visual standard with a relatively low budget that only big productions usually accomplish. Ubisoft provided a secret document with information on how to envision the world in which The Division takes place. And then they got to work. Other video experts like devinsupertramp and RocketJump created two other segments.

Here a story is to be told about how different agents experience their “activation”, meet each other, and form a team.
