In the upcoming MMO shooter “Tom Clancy’s The Division“, solo players should be able to survive if they are willing to adapt their playstyle.
In a video interview from South Africa, Community Manager Hamish Bode answers questions. When asked about the commitment to release DLCs for The Division, he did not make any promises, stating only that they plan to support The Division for a long time.
He emphasized especially how free and limitless the world of The Division is, truly an RPG. Players have numerous options to customize their characters, with several “Vanity” slots for cosmetic items. Even though there has been a lot of discussion about PvP in the Dark Zones lately, it is possible to play completely without PvP and focus more on cooperation.
Players could also go solo if they wanted to. It would probably be advisable to adapt the playstyle a bit, focusing more on long range and becoming a multi-tasker. In groups of up to 4 agents, everyone can specialize more.
The beta for The Division is set to begin in December. In the coming months, we should learn more about the game, which is scheduled for March 2016 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
