In The Division, the servers are offline today, November 17th. Extended maintenance work is scheduled.
Today, Thursday, the weekly maintenance work takes place. Every Thursday, the developers work on the servers and occasionally deploy hotfixes. No changelog is provided for today. Massive is only working in the background on stability.
The server downtime starts at 9:30 AM our time. The online services are expected to remain offline for three hours, so you can start playing again around 12:30 PM. Usually, the servers are back online a few minutes earlier.
Are Survival and 1.5 coming next week?
A few days ago, there was a credible leak stating: The release of Update 1.5 and the Survival DLC is scheduled for next Tuesday, November 22nd. However, a confirmation from Massive is still pending.
However, this afternoon, there will most likely be official announcements regarding the near future of The Division. Massive is holding the “State of the Game”, the weekly status report. During the stream, several prizes are expected to be raffled off, which indicates that this status report will be more significant than those before.
It is possible that the developers will reveal which additional content, besides the Survival mode, the Survival DLC will still offer. This question has puzzled the agents for quite some time. The Survival mode will certainly bring variety, but more content will be needed to keep the agents entertained in the long run.
Hamish Bode, a community developer, has already stated that no new raid will come. So one should not hope for that. However, there is a chance that new story missions could be added to the game.
This afternoon we will know more. We will report promptly on all important statements.
Update: The stream is postponed to tonight at 6 PM. We will report on that.
