In The Division, we present a build with an impressive toughness value.
A week ago, Massive made some changes to the PvP: Since then, agents deal more weapon damage to each other in the Dark Zone. The developers aim to address the issue that agents waste bullets for minutes without anyone going down. Many players have high toughness values, resulting in some battles being quite literally “tough”.
YouTuber MarcoStyle has now found a way to withstand the increased weapon damage: he cranks his toughness value to dizzying heights – over 700k!
A build with over 700k toughness
MarcoStyle refers to his build as the “Tanktician build of all Tanktician builds”. To create this setup, he played the raid “Falcon Lost” in challenging mode for days. It involved a lot of work and time. The YouTuber recommends not to replicate this for the sake of mental health.
The build consists of four parts of the “Authority of the Tactician” and two pieces of “Final Measure“. The weapons used play a minor role here, as the weapon values are low and most weapon talents cannot be unlocked.
To increase toughness in The Division, you need to focus on armor and stamina. To be prepared against exotic damage, you should also increase your resistance to it:
- Chest Piece Final Measure: +1074 stamina and bonuses to armor and exotic damage resistance. Two high-end mods for stamina and exotic resistance are equipped.
- Kneepads Final Measure: +910 stamina and bonuses to exotic damage resistance. With these two armor pieces, the 2-set bonus becomes active, granting 50% exotic resistance.
- Backpack Tactician: +907 stamina and bonuses to skill power and ammunition capacity.
- Gloves Tactician: +748 stamina and bonuses to critical hit chance, LMG damage, and critical hit damage.
- Holster Tactician: +657 firearms, +752 stamina, +743 electronics, and bonuses to armor.
- Mask Tactician: +908 stamina and bonuses to skill power.
This activates all bonuses and the talent of the “Authority of the Tactician”.
In this way, the YouTuber achieves the maximum values for armor and resistance against exotic damage.

The weapons used are the LMG Custom L86 A2 and the sniper rifle SOCOM M1A.
This build is mainly recommended for team play. While you can take a lot of damage, you can deal very little. In the Dark Zone, even with this enormous toughness, you stand little chance against a group of enemy agents.
The Skills and Talents
The following skills are used:
- Ballistic Shield with the Mod Attack Shield: With the portable shield, damage, reload speed, and precision of the secondary weapon are increased and recoil is reduced.
- First Aid: Heals you and all allies in a small radius.
The talents are:
- Emergency Medical: Use a medkit at low health to increase damage resistance by 40% for 10 seconds.
- Triage: When you heal an ally with a skill, skill cooldowns are reduced by 15%.
The other two talents can be adjusted based on your playstyle. For example, if you switch to the sticky grenade, the Chain Reaction is recommended.
The advantages of this build are numerous: You can serve as a shield for your friends, carry the supports in “Clear Sky”, and lead the way in PvP. With this extreme toughness, your chances of cutting the rope in the Dark Zone and stealing the loot are also better.
Note: The required armor pieces for this build do not simply drop from the sky. You will need to invest a lot of time and effort to achieve such numbers. MarcoStyle has set a benchmark that many other agents can aspire to.
