In The Division, more exploits have been uncovered. This time, agents gain advantages by quickly switching between items.
As soon as a problem in The Division is solved, a dozen others knock on the door. On one hand, one can only shake their head in disbelief and wish Massive good luck in being able to fix these issues in a timely manner, on the other hand, one must also admire the creativity and spirit of exploration of some agents, as they continually discover such exploits. Two new “switch glitches” have become known.
“Competent Glitch” takes down enemies with a handful of bullets
With the Competent Glitch, users have found a method to consistently raise their DPS value by switching between items. All you need is a precision rifle with the talent “Competent”. This talent causes weapon damage to be increased for a short time after a skill is used.
Apparently, you can disrupt the game mechanics with these ingredients by quickly switching between weapons after using a skill. The following video shows this glitch. It is already being shared by major English-speaking gaming sites – as well as German-speaking ones. Whether you choose to watch it is up to you.
With this exploit, agents can force even the toughest opponents in The Division to their knees with just a few bullets. The game balance will definitely be thrown off by this bug, both in the Dark Zone and in the raid. But this is not the only glitch that has recently been discovered.
“Prosperous Glitch” grants unlimited credits
The “Prosperous Glitch” works in a similar way to the previously described glitch. This time, however, you need the talent “Prosperous” on high-end knee pads. This talent grants you additional credits on critical headshots. The following video shows this glitch in action:
Some agents are already exploiting this bug to obtain crafting materials. They purchase high-end weapons from the vendor for advanced weapons with the seemingly infinite credits and dismantle them.
Massive wants to crack down harder in the future and penalize exploiters and glitchers with bans, as exploiting glitches is against the game’s code of conduct. Therefore: It’s best to steer clear of it!
