In the shared-world shooter The Division, a music video has been released that takes a jab at the Dark Zone. The fan-made hit is well received and likely has the potential to become a catchy tune.
Youtuber ArcadeCloud has uploaded a parody of Drake’s “Hotline Bling”. In this title, he seemingly addresses his bad experiences in the Dark Zone, in the PvP area of The Division. You should see and hear for yourself:
According to the lyrics, the Youtuber used to go solo into the Dark Zone to grab loot. However, the NPCs and rogue agents often caused him problems, causing him to lose his loot repeatedly. Therefore, he questions whether it is really worth it to go into the DZ. He would only be killed by “low-level jerks” anyway. Solo, you can’t really play The Division, except for the campaign. He concludes: “Right now, I hate the game.”.
In the community, the parody is well received, and the ratings are mostly positive. Massive has also caught wind of the video: The community manager Natchai Stappers considers it a “great parody”, and adds: “You could say he did it for the views.” With that, he playfully refers to the title of the latest album “Views” by Canadian rapper Drake.
What do you think of the music video about the Dark Zone?
