In The Division, an online survey is currently available. One question relates to possible microtransactions. Will there be paid inventory expansions?
In Ubisoft’s MMO shooter, agents have essentially been asking for more inventory space since launch to store all their stylish items. One option that the developers are apparently considering is to offer more inventory space for real money through microtransactions.
This is currently being hotly debated in the Reddit forum. Because on a survey page from Ubisoft, this question is being asked, as can be seen in the following screenshot:
Paid Inventory Expansions in The Division?
The survey page initially asks general questions about the player, gameplay behavior, and satisfaction. Afterward, players can answer further, more detailed questions, including which features they would spend extra money on.
At the moment, outfit packs for The Division can be purchased via microtransactions. Apparently, the developers are interested in offering more optional features – at least they are asking the community if they would be willing to pay for them. Options include: voice packs, emotes, dances, skins, and more inventory space.
The community is quite unanimous on this question: any optional emotes can be offered in this way, but being able to purchase more inventory space only with real money is not well received at all. According to one user, those who vote “yes” should have a special place in hell reserved for them.
However, it must be considered that this is just a survey. There is no confirmation that paid inventory expansions will ever come. You can find the survey for The Division here.
What do you think? Would you be willing to spend money for more inventory?
