According to The Division, there are reports that some agents who exploited the “Falcon Lost Exploits” have already been banned.
We recently reported that community manager Natchai Stappers announced in the Ubi forum that the developers would be examining penalties for all those exploiting the “Falcon Lost Exploits” – and still exploiting. With these exploits, agents can trick the mechanics of the raid to obtain loot more easily.
The developers justify this step by stating that players would be violating the terms of use and the code of conduct of the game when using known or newly emerging exploits. However, after this announcement in the Ubi forum, there has been little further discussion about these threats, and even in the last State of the Game, where extensive discussions were held on exploits, cheats, and compensation in The Division, the developers did not address any potential penalties.
Reports of already issued 3-day bans
Now there are reports circulating on the internet in forums and video portals that some agents have already been issued “3 Day Bans,” allegedly because they exploited the exploits in “Falcon Lost.” Screenshots soon followed:
According to these reports, the ban was imposed due to recent actions and for the violation of the terms of use. Therefore, the agent will now be excluded from the servers for three days. This is considered a “first strike”.
This email further states that further such actions may lead to a second strike, ultimately resulting in a permanent ban. The account will be terminated, and the data stored on the servers will be deleted.
However: So far, there is no conclusive evidence from these screenshots that these penalties were issued due to the exploitation of the “Falcon Lost Exploits.” The emails only mention a violation of the terms of use. And the reports that players received such emails are so sparse that it is surprising. After all, the exploit was widespread.
No wave of bans in motion yet
That Ubisoft Massive issues 3-day bans against cheaters and hackers has been known for some time. Whether these penalties are actually being distributed for “exploitation” without further announcements cannot be confirmed at this point. The “evidence” could also refer to penalties issued to other cheaters and hackers.
Opinions within the community vary; some are pleased that Massive is taking action against these “cheaters,” while others blame the developers entirely for the exploit problem and react with misunderstanding and discontent. Additionally, some users doubt that a 3-day ban will leave a significant impression on anyone, as the punishment seems too lenient.
What do you think about this whole situation?
