In The Division, the problem of cheats and hacks seems to be so pronounced that even hackers are complaining about other hackers.
A reddit user made a surprising find in a forum for hackers: An agent complains that The Division is hardly playable due to the many hackers. The curious part: He openly admits that he also uses hacks.
Hacker vs. Hacker – The fraudsters are swarming in the Dark Zone
A self-proclaimed hacker expresses his annoyance that he hardly has any advantages in the Dark Zone anymore, as other hackers simply take him down. As the user says, the PvP area of The Division is now nearly impossible to play, even if one uses cheats and hacks themselves.
Recently, he ran through the Dark Zone for about two hours and encountered several “10-year-olds” who were all using aim-bots and RPM-hacks. With his complaint, the user now wants to ask the other agents what their opinions are on “player-aimbots,” which every agent can currently access for free.
While one comment endorses the free hack methods – after all, this gives all agents the same chances to cheat – most other agents see this as a disgrace for the cheat and hack protection measures from Massive. Especially on the PC version, nearly only hackers are competing against hackers; the decent agents have no chance anymore in the Dark Zone.
With their statements in the last “State of the Game,” community developers Hamish Bode and Yannick Banchereau want to calm the heated tempers of the agents: They are optimistic that the problems will be solved in the future. Also, the cheat and hack protection measures are continuously being improved. However, all of this still takes time, and they ask for patience.
What the developers said this week about exploits, bugs, and cheats in The Division can be seen in this article.
