In The Division, the skills play an important role in your character development. We present all skills, talents, and perks clearly and compactly.
Ubisoft’s MMO shooter is much more than just a simple third-person shooter: Like an RPG, The Division offers numerous skills that allow you to customize and enhance your character. To not lose track of all these customization options, we present them as clearly as possible below.
What different skills are there?
First, one must be aware of what skills actually exist and how they can be categorized. The skills include skills, talents, and perks.
- Skills: The skills support you diligently in combat. However, you must use them yourself in order to benefit from the abilities. You can choose offensive or defensive skills, depending on your personal playstyle. Skills also have modifications that you can unlock to improve them. There are a total of 12 skills.
- Talents: These are passive abilities that activate automatically in certain situations and support your agent. You can select up to four talents at the same time once you have unlocked the slots for them. There are a total of 24 talents.
- Perks: Unlike skills and talents, perks are permanently available to you once they have been unlocked. So you don’t have to choose between them. This leads to a higher-level agent always having advantages over a lower-level agent. There are a total of 40 unlockable perks.
All these abilities can be assigned to specific areas: the Medical, Technology, and Security trees.
Now we want to present ALL skills sorted by these areas.
These are all skills in The Division
Medical Tree Skills
Pulse: You activate a scanning pulse that allows you to detect your enemies. Both friend and foe become visible even through walls.
First Aid: This is a first-aid kit that heals you and your allies within a small radius. Can also be thrown.
Support Station: You place a device that can heal and revive allies.
Recovery Link (Signature Skill): Heals you and your nearby allies. Revives downed allies within range. It can even restore more than the maximum health (“Overheal”).
Technology Tree Skills
Sticky Bomb: This is a sticky grenade that is detonated remotely.
Turret: You place a small turret that attacks nearby enemies autonomously. However, this turret has a time limit if it is destroyed beforehand.
Seeker Mine: This is a mobile mine that targets enemies and detonates near them.
Tactical Link (Signature Skill): Increases your agent’s damage and chance for critical hits. This also applies to your allies.
Security Tree Skills
Ballistic Shield: You activate a shield for defense. However, you can only use the sidearm while using it.
Smart Cover: The cover is reinforced. Increases the damage of the user while reducing the damage taken by all allies behind the cover.
Mobile Cover: You create a temporary cover that provides you with protection.
Survivor Link: Reduces damage taken and increases movement speed. Nearby allies also receive the same ability.
