The Division: Glitched – Hotfix comes Friday evening [Update]

In the MMO shooter The Division, there will be a hotfix on Friday evening. The servers will be taken down.

Update 11:36 PM: The servers are live again across all platforms. Thanks for your patience during this server downtime.

Update 11:00 PM: PS4 and PC servers are live again. The Xbox servers are still down to fix the issue with missing characters.

When a hotfix is announced on Friday evening, something must be going on. At the moment, the hotfix is only announced; there is no exact information or patches circulating about what exactly is to be fixed.

Most assume that Massive wants to work on the glitch in “Falcon Lost”, the new raid. This is the currently most lucrative content. Players bypass a good portion of the game content with buggy skills and the abuse of certain abilities.

This causes unrest. We have described the glitch in this article.

We will let you know as soon as further details are known about what Massive is currently fixing. The hotfix is expected around 10:45 PM.

Update: Patch notes are now available. They are indeed fixing an exploit that allowed the armored personnel carrier to be attacked without new waves of enemies appearing. Additionally, they are fixing an issue in the raid where players did not receive the correct weekly reward.

They have also resolved issues that caused Xbox players to not see their agents. The characters of the affected players are being rolled back a few days to the state of April 12.
