Players affected by the “backpack bug” and the issue with missing agents have now received their compensations in The Division.
As Massive informs, with yesterday’s maintenance and the fix of the daily missions, the compensations have also been sent out to the agents affected by the most significant errors in The Division so far.
Apparently, the development team was able to identify the suffering users and provide them with compensation in the form of 500 Phoenix Credits and ten pieces of each high-end crafting material (including Division Tech).
Some agents are already reporting in the forums that they were able to successfully accept this compensation. They will be notified upon login that they can collect it from the rewards vendor in the operations base.
The backpack bug was probably the most well-known and significant error in The Division during the early days and weeks. Agents preferred to stay away from the backpacks in the game, fearing that they could lead to a lockout. According to Massive, the issue was caused by equipped mods from unused items, which caused the inventory problems leading to a lockout.
The missing agents issue occurred after update 1.1: A faulty server did not synchronize the character data properly, causing some players not to see their characters. Although the problem was resolved relatively quickly, all progress of the affected users had to be reset to the status before the update.
These annoyances have now been resolved, and the compensations have been sent out. Hopefully, this can be seen as a conclusion to these issues.
