The Dark Zone, the PvP area of The Division, is divided into areas of varying difficulty. The north is only recommended for max-level agents.
The Dark Zone in Ubisoft’s upcoming MMO shooter is a great place to test your skills and grab some loot. Not only are there other agents waiting for you, with whom you can cooperate (or you can shoot them ruthlessly in the gut), but there are also NPCs. These rarely mean well for you and attack aggressively.
These non-human enemies vary in level, depending on which area of the DZ you are in. IGN was invited by Ubisoft Massive to explore these zones a bit. The rule is: the farther you go north, the tougher it gets. They captured the deepest insight into this PvP area in the following video.
The tester struggles quite a bit at level 16 to survive in the northern areas of the Dark Zone. Here he encounters enemies that are 1-2 levels higher than himself and heavily armored. When he faces off against a skull enemy that is at least 5 levels above him, he succumbs to it. But he says: With a group, it would be possible and there would be plenty of DZ experience.
Therefore, it is probably wise to initially avoid these places solo in the final version of The Division until you can face the computer enemies on equal footing. However, the most dangerous area in the north also has its charm: because the best loot awaits you here.
Interesting: A clever reddit user watched this video closely and noticed that the tester had 10 story missions available when he had the map open. He recognizes five missions from the medical sector, four tech missions, and one from the security.
