In The Division you can now find out if you can soon join the PTS for Update 1.7 on your PS4 or Xbox One.
It is finally here: Massive is finally sending out the invitations to the public test servers on the consoles. The developers announced this today, on July 11th, shortly after 5:30 PM.
You can therefore check your email inbox directly to see if you have already received a code. If not, there is still no reason to worry. Because Massive writes that the roll-out has only just begun. In other words, the invitations are still being sent. This will take a while. The invitations today are explicitly addressed to the European agents – that means us.
What can you expect on the PTS for PS4 and Xbox One?
Not all console agents will receive an email with the invitations. For each console, the invitations are limited to 10,000 players. To have a chance of receiving a code, you need to have been online in the last month and have as many play hours as possible. The more play hours you have, the more likely you are to be allowed to participate in the PTS.
Some content of the upcoming Update 1.7 will be tested on the PTS. This testing phase has already been running on PC for two weeks. A “better” PTS build will be coming to the consoles, in which some bugs have already been fixed. This corresponds to PTS Phase 2 on PC.
The preload is already running. On Thursday, July 13th, it is supposed to start – according to user reports.
Here are the most important new features that you can test on the PTS:
- Global Events: Time-limited events that add modifiers to PvE activities and make them more varied. The “Outbreak” event is running on the PTS.
- Commendations and patches: In 1.7 you will receive over 500 objectives to complete and earn rewards. Some commendations reward you with a patch that is displayed on the agent’s right arm. For the PTS, these objectives have been adjusted so they can be completed more quickly. Many objectives and patches are missing.
- Classified Gear: These are new versions of already existing gear sets. If you equip five or six of them, you unlock 5-set and 6-set bonuses.
