In The Division , gaming sites are reporting about a new “glitch” – but this time it’s fictional.
It’s a great story. Here it goes: If you fall through the ground near the boss in “Falcon Lost”, enemies will throw grenades at you. And this kills the final boss without you taking damage.
The story fits the current climate around the game: “Oh God, is your game buggy, Ubisoft!”
We first noticed the story a few days ago on Gamespot, but it was quickly deleted there. Meanwhile, several large English-speaking sites, as well as a German gaming site, have picked up the story and report about the embarrassing state of the game: New glitches keep appearing. As soon as one is fixed, another one pops up, the sites wrote.

They agreed with the fans who in the comments under the articles mocked The Division and Massive. They said they couldn’t keep their game under control. A new bug every day.
The sources for the story are a bit strange. One site refers to another. A large German site refers to the site “pixeldynamo”, which claims to have learned about the glitch on reddit.
It was also mentioned on the large international forum reddit, only: It was a joke. The Redditor from whom the post about the supposed glitch originated, which then caused such a stir, clarified this morning: It was a joke. The Redditor wanted to demonstrate that the “trick”, even if it was wrong, got more views than his “legitimate” guide to the boss. The latter hardly received any attention.
It is particularly striking that the glitch was picked up by many gaming sites under the title “How to complete the incursion even after the hotfix”. The user listed a number of gaming sites that fell for his “hoax” and reported on it without testing the glitch – among the list are some very well-known English-speaking gaming sites.
