In Tom Clancy’s The Division, we explore which submachine gun is the best in the game.
In a new video, the YouTuber Arekkz Gaming compares the submachine guns Tactical AUG A3P and First Wave Vector 45 ACP, discussing which of them is the “best” in The Division. Both SMGs are very popular in the community and are essential for every agent’s arsenal. But what are the similarities and – most importantly – the differences between the two weapons?
Tactical AUG A3P vs. First Wave Vector 45 ACP in The Division
Currently, you can purchase a blueprint for the Vector 45 ACP of the First Wave at the Dark Zone weapon vendor for a value of 204. For both SMGs, it is advisable to buy the respective blueprints as soon as they are available. This allows you to craft them until the desired talents appear.In terms of base damage, both submachine guns are equal: The damage ranges for your crafted SMGs will be completely identical. For example, the damage in Arekkz’s video will range from 11289 to 12452.
Differences can be found in the other values: The Vector has a higher fire rate of 750 (AUG: 725), but a lower magazine size of 20 (AUG: 25). So you have the choice between higher fire rate/lower magazine size and lower fire rate/higher magazine size.
Apart from the slightly shorter reload time of the Vector (2.3 to 2.5s), the AUG has advantages: The optimal range of the AUG is increased by 2m, the stability is somewhat better, and the precision is even significantly stronger. Especially at ranges beyond 20 meters, the AUG is therefore superior to the Vector.

Ultimately, the YouTuber concludes that he would always recommend an AUG. With the right mods, you can squeeze out up to 51 shots from it, while from the Vector a maximum of 41. As an overall package, the AUG takes the lead.
However, the Vector is by no means a bad weapon. You can also successfully tackle the challenges in The Division with it. Arekkz himself would often use the Vector because he prefers its design and sound over the AUG.
With both submachine guns, you can’t go wrong if you acquire their blueprints.
