With the April update in The Division, the vendors also undergo changes. We report on how the offer of “Dark Xur” and the specialty gear vendor looks this week.
“April does what it wants.” This saying also applies to the Dark Zone specialty vendor, affectionately called “Dark Xur” in The Division. This vendor no longer demands Phoenix Credits for his goods since the April update; now he (or she) wants Dark Zone currency. Furthermore, his inventory has changed drastically.
However, the specialty vendor has not changed his location in the Dark Zone: You can find him in the safe room in DZ06, right at the north of the Dark Zone:
What the Dark Zone specialty vendor has since the update 1.1
Until now, you could acquire high-end weapons, lots of blueprints, cosmetic items, and much more from “Dark Xur” for Phoenix Credits. However, since the April update, he has drastically reduced his stock. Now, there are only items for the gear sets. To be able to acquire these, you must be DZ rank 30 or 50. Additionally, the Gear Score, which indicates the equipment value of the items, is specified.
- Nomad Knee Pads 25157 DZ currency – Value 191 (DZ rank 30 required)
- Nomad Gloves 25277 DZ currency – Value 191 (DZ rank 30 required)
- Blueprint: Nomad Holster 149451 DZ currency – Value 214 (DZ rank 50 required)
- Blueprint: Nomad Knee Pads 151173 DZ currency – Value 214 (DZ rank 50 required)
Blueprints that “Dark Xur” offered before the update are now located in the inventory of the specialty gear vendor.
