At The Division, there was a small follow-up to the exclusive alpha yesterday. It leaves players even hungrier.
Somewhat cruel: The alpha actually ended last weekend. Participating players praised it highly. Then it was announced last minute: We’re opening it again on Friday. From 3 PM to at least 6 PM Central European Time.
US players found themselves in the position that we Europeans usually have: The alpha was running for them in the morning, at almost impossible times. For us Central Europeans, it was also difficult: Friday at 3 PM the server stress test began. It was over by 6:30 PM. 30 minutes longer than the stated minimum. Most would probably still have been working or otherwise occupied. Those hoping it would last into the evening were disappointed.
Anyone who played again will have been left even hungrier than before.
This seems to be it for The Division in 2015. In 2016, betas should follow. First likely again one exclusively for Xbox One. Then further for PC and PlayStation 4. And the release in March doesn’t seem that far away now.
