In the MMO shooter The Division, changes to weapon balance will be made in the future.
During a recent livestream, Community Developer Hamish Bode announced a weapon balance patch that is currently in the works. However, he did not disclose when it will be implemented, but the mere fact that he is allowed to talk about it can be seen as an indication that the weapon balance changes are expected to occur soon.
A possible date is the May update called “Conflict.” The changes to the weapons may be integrated into the game alongside new content and features. However, since Bode is already talking about it now, it is not excluded that the balance patch will be released beforehand during a scheduled server downtime.
How the weapon balance changes will look specifically has also not been revealed. One weapon type that agents are currently ignoring almost completely is the shotgun. At close range, agents prefer the submachine gun, such as the AUG in The Division. It is possible that shotguns will be given more focus in the future.
Which weapon type do you think should be enhanced or weakened?
