In The Division, we present the new Gear Set AlphaBridge. This is now available for all agents on PS4, Xbox One, and PC with Update 1.3.
Recently, Update 1.3 has gone live on all platforms. PS4 agents can now also start searching for a free gear set: AlphaBridge. But is it really worth looking for this set?
What makes AlphaBridge special in The Division
The AlphaBridge set has numerous locations: It is often found in the Dark Zone, as loot from named bosses, sealed containers, and supply drops. However, it can also drop in the Underground and from named NPCs outside the Dark Zone. Additionally, various vendors offer some individual parts, such as the Special Blueprints Vendor in the Underground.
AlphaBridge consists of a total of six parts. If you have looted and equipped several of them, you will receive certain bonuses. With four pieces equipped, the unique talent activates, which is particularly exciting with this set:
- 2 pieces: +2 Medkit capacity. If you have fully upgraded the Operations Base, you can carry 7 medkits with you. With an appropriate backpack, even up to 9. This should prevent you from being forced to kneel too quickly.
- 3 pieces: +100% health regeneration. This bonus is really strong. When you take damage, your health regenerates significantly faster:
- 4 pieces: Talent AlphaBridge: If the primary and secondary weapons belong to the same weapon category, the equipped weapon gains the active talents of both weapons.
This talent makes the set unique and extremely valuable. However, the talent only works if you have equipped two weapons of the same category, such as two assault rifles or two LMGs. Furthermore, only the weapon talents that are active (i.e., not grayed out) are considered. Therefore, try to unlock as many talents of both weapons as possible with your attributes.
The talent also works in combination with named weapons, which come with fixed talents. Take a G36 assault rifle and the Caduceus and benefit from all active talents.
In-game, this will be displayed to you as follows:
Your own weapon talents are white, while the additional active talents of the secondary weapon are displayed in green beneath them. Thus, it is possible for a weapon to have up to 6 talents – which can make it an outstanding weapon.
Note: There must be different talents. If both weapons share the same talent, only one will count. They are essentially non-stackable. According to Arekkz Gaming, the AlphaBridge set convinced him. He “loves” it. With the set talent, powerful weapon and talent combinations are possible. He has combined the G36 (Brutal, Deadly, and Focused) with the Caduceus (always Coolheaded, Restored, Self-preserved):
The currently overpowered G36 already comes with strong talents. Since it also receives Coolheaded due to the Caduceus – a talent that is usually found only on sniper rifles and sidearms – the skill cooldowns are reset quickly: With headshot hits, all skill cooldowns are reduced by 5.5%. Thus, you can reuse the skill within seconds.
Tip: If you want to play exclusively with your primary weapon and only want to leverage the talents of your secondary weapon, it is advisable to choose a secondary weapon with a low Gear Score. They have lower attribute requirements to activate the talents. Since you want six active talents, this is one way to meet the different requirements.
However: This set also has downsides: Since you have two weapons of the same category, you can set your gameplay less flexibly. Additionally, both weapons draw from the same ammunition supply, so you always need to keep an eye on your ammo. To counter this, you can choose two pieces of the “Lonely Hero” set, which doubles your ammo capacity.
In both PvP and PvE, you can benefit from this overwhelming power of weapon talents. The two other set bonuses are particularly useful for the Dark Zone. This gives you advantages over enemies. Fortify yourself, quickly regenerate your health, or pop a medkit.
AlphaBridge is a powerful gear set that allows you to create variable weapon talent combinations.
