In The Division major changes to the gear sets are coming with update 1.4.
Currently, the phase of the PTS, the public test server is running. With this tool, the developers want to give many PC agents the chance to test the upcoming changes from update 1.4 to refine them and eliminate annoying bugs and glitches in advance.
Update 1.4 is set to be released in October. However, there is still no specific release date. But there are sure to be several days until the launch during which we can gather numerous insights from the PTS phase.
Major innovations affect the gear sets. These will be completely overhauled. Some nerfs are understandable and reasonable, while other improvements are surprising. Some exciting buffs are definitely included. In the video, you can see them in motion. We will also summarize all the information below.
This is how the gear sets will be revised with 1.4
Currently, some sets are overpowered, while others are practically useless. Massive wants to address this. The following general principles will apply from 1.4:
- 2-set bonus: There are only “Utility Stats” now; the focus is on “utility.” These are often bonuses for your weapons, such as extra stability.
- Only the 3-set and 4-set bonuses provide the real set power.
- There is no longer a 5-set bonus.
Some bonuses remain as they currently are. However, most will be replaced.
Note: There is currently no information about the Restorer set and the B.L.I.N.D set. These will be comprehensively revised.
Striker’s Combat Gear
Changes to the Striker set (This set currently has a 5-set bonus):
- 2-set bonus: Old: 10% armor damage; New: 20% stability
- 3-set bonus: Old: 20% critical hit damage; New: 10% armor damage
- 4-set bonus – talent: Remains the same. Each subsequent hit causes 1% more damage, with a maximum limit of 100%. On misses, the bonus decreases by 2%. The bonus decreases by 1% every second.
The 5-set bonus is currently 30% critical hit damage. This will be removed.
Tactician’s Authority
Changes to the Tactician set:
- 2-set bonus: Remains the same: +4000 skill power
- 3-set bonus: Remains the same: +20% haste (which reduces cooldown for skills)
- 4-set bonus: Talent change: Each hit you and your team members land adds 0.2% skill power up to a maximum of 30%. The bonus can reach the maximum for 10 seconds. The bonus resets every 10 seconds and must be renewed.
