In The Division, we present 5 things you should do as soon as you start 1.5.
All agents on PS4, Xbox One, and PC are now back to the same level – at least regarding major title updates. Because today, Patch 1.5 was delivered on PlayStation 4. It has been available on other platforms for a week, much to the frustration of PS4 agents. However, for the Survival DLC, they still have to wait until December 20th.
The update 1.5 brings numerous new features, such as a higher world tier, a new maximum gear score, new weapons, named gear pieces, and several “Quality of Life” improvements, such as the significantly larger storage. To ensure your start in 1.5 is successful and you are not completely left alone, we will now name five things you can do right away.
Get the vendor items to 256 gear score
First tip: Get the vendor items to the maximum gear score. If you are currently at a value of 229, the vendors will only sell you items at 229. How do you get the score to 256?
Keep in mind that vendor items no longer depend on the world tier but on your character gear score. To raise the vendors to 256, you need to have at least three items at 256 and three items at 229. Set the world tier to 5 and grab high-quality objects, for example, in HVT missions. As a season pass holder, you can also open the supply drop. It contains three items at 256.
Get the best vendor items this week
We have already presented the highlights of this week’s vendor reset. Until the next reset, from Friday night to Saturday, you still have time to acquire them. Particularly recommended are the Pakhan (one of the best weapons in 1.5) and the FAMAS with a strong roll.
Craft yourself an MP7!
First, buy a blueprint of the MP7 at 256. You can currently find it at the special blueprint vendor in the terminal. Craft it until you get a strong roll. The MP7 is an excellent submachine gun for PvP. This will help you succeed in 1.5.
Sell your 229 items
While the storage has been expanded to 150 slots with 1.5, you should not stay stuck with the 229 gear for long. Since update 1.4, you will be inundated with loot, so you will quickly obtain higher quality gear at 256. Therefore, keep only what is necessary and sell or dismantle the rest.
With the credits you earn, you can buy new items or acquire sealed caches.
Tip: If you want to play with the AlphaBridge talent and already have weapons with excellent rolls, keep them. Here, the gear score is unimportant – as long as the talents are strong.
How to quickly get new items?
If you want to quickly farm 256 items, the mission “Lexington Event Center” is recommended. For two reasons:
- This mission can be completed in a few minutes. You will receive many items in a short time.
- Larae Barrett has an increased chance of dropping the named gear piece “Barret’s Bulletproof Vest.” This gear piece is currently very sought after.
With this mission, it is possible to grab plenty of good loot after just a few hours.
