Today, maintenance works have been scheduled for The Division 2 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. There will be a several-hour server downtime. That is what we know so far.
After a planned server maintenance yesterday, on May 16, preceding the raid launch, maintenance work for today has now also been announced for The Division 2.
Update:
- 14:03 – The servers are now offline. You can’t play for the time being.
- 14:17 – The downtime was shorter than announced. The Division 2 servers are back online, at least on PS4. You can continue your mission in Washington D.C.
When exactly is the maintenance happening? The work on the servers is set to begin at 14:00 German time. There is expected to be a 30-minute downtime.
You will have to briefly interrupt your gaming experience. If everything goes according to plan, it should continue normally at 14:30. The servers should be back online and the maintenance will end.
What is the reason for this unscheduled maintenance? The reason for the maintenance was some server issues that have been occurring since yesterday. While the situation was well managed, the maintenance was meant to ensure that these issues wouldn’t bother anyone over the weekend.
Are there patch notes? The patch notes are not yet available. If Massive releases them today, we will update them here as soon as possible.
We will keep you updated on the server status in this article. During the half-hour maintenance, you can use these articles to pass the time:
- Raid without matchmaking – This is how Massive explains their decision
- The Division 2 concedes – Group search for raid is coming, but differently
- First raid completed after 5 hours – Who got world first?

What do you think? Why is there this maintenance?
