Today, on June 18th, Title Update 4 for The Division 2 was released. The update comes with maintenance on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The servers will be offline for several hours. Here’s everything you need to know about the maintenance and the patch notes.
Until recently, PC players were able to test numerous changes of Title Update 4 on the test servers. The planned changes could lift the post Title Update 3 blues a bit. Today, on June 18th, Title Update 4 finally goes live for all platforms.
UPDATE: Although the maintenance took a bit longer than originally planned, the update is now live and the Division 2 servers are back online. If you have downloaded the nearly 6 GB patch, you can continue the fight for D.C.
This is how the maintenance will proceed today:
- The maintenance is scheduled to begin at 9:30 AM our time.
- There will be several hours of server downtime. During this time, you will not be able to log in.
- The maintenance is expected to last three hours. If everything goes according to plan, you should be able to jump back into the fight for Washington by 12:30 PM at the latest.
What is changing today with Title Update 4 in The Division 2?
Patch Notes for Title Update 4: The official patch notes are already available – but not yet in German. You can find them in a separate article:
These changes are already known: Some highlights of the new update have been communicated by the developers.
These include, among other things:
- The 4th specialization, the Gunner, is set to arrive
- the first exotic gear piece – the “Dodge City Gunslinger’s Holster”
- Revision of the existing 3 specializations
- Revision of the special ammunition
- the mod system will be fundamentally overhauled
- Visual upgrades for named items that should clearly distinguish themselves from other items
However, don’t expect a huge content boost with Title Update 4. This will likely come with the “Episode 1” DLC D.C. Outskirts: Expeditions in July.
Note that this does not cover all upcoming changes. A complete list will be available soon with the official patch notes.
Are you excited for the new update? Or are you feeling like Ice T, that the air has gone out?
