In The Division, the second global event called Assault starts tomorrow, on October 3rd. What modifiers does it bring? What masks and what secret gear sets does it have in store?
In mid-August, the first global event in the history of The Division took place. Initially met with skepticism by many agents, it was seen as a welcome and entertaining change. Only the masks, which were available solely through the buggy global event leaderboards, caused frustration.
To avoid this mask chaos in the future, Massive changed the system. The masks are no longer tied to the leaderboards but to commendations. From now on, there will be containers containing classified gear through the rankings.
This revision took time, which is why the second global event can only start in early October, on 3rd of October. Tomorrow is the day.
Here’s what to expect in Assault!
Massive released a graphic showing the contents of the global event:
The event starts at 2 PM our time. It introduces three Halloween masks that you can see on the right side. Additionally, secret gear set parts from the Striker set, from the Vigilante, and from the Recovery will be included.
These are the modifiers:
- Global Modifier: Agents deal higher damage at close range to enemies.
- Activity Modifier: Enemies deal increased damage to you at long range.
- Group Modifier: Stay close together to deal more damage.
In short: An offensive play style at close range to the enemy is favored.
While the global modifier is always active, you can optionally activate the other two modifiers in certain activities. You will receive additional rewards upon successful completion.
The event ends after a week on October 10th at 2 PM.
Are you participating in this global event?
