The Nemesis sniper rifle is currently the most powerful weapon in The Division 2. Here’s what you need to do to get it.
This weapon is about: Nemesis is an exotic precision rifle that can only be crafted. It was introduced with Title Update 2.0, which also added the Tidal Basin stronghold and World Tier 5.
To get it, you have to complete invaded strongholds. For the blueprint, you also need to play a targeted mission, which rotates weekly.
In this guide, we explain how you can get the components and blueprint for Nemesis.
How to get the Nemesis blueprint and crafting materials
You need 4 components to craft Nemesis. You can obtain them by completing the strongholds.
Step 1: Play Tidal Basin
Here’s how to get the 1st component:
- First, you need to play the Tidal Basin stronghold a second time.
- During the mission, you need to activate a laptop in a house. You will find a key on the second floor.
- Continue playing until you board a ship (the large hovercraft). You need to eliminate the first wave of enemies in the hangar.
- Stick to the left in the next room; you can open the door with the key.
- There you will find a weapon crate containing the Adrestia sniper rifle.
- Disassemble the weapon, and you will have your first component, the scope.
Step 2: Play invaded strongholds
Now, you need to tackle the other strongholds to get the remaining components.
You will not be able to craft Nemesis immediately if you are just starting now. Only one of the 3 other strongholds is invaded each week. You can only complete one stronghold per week as a targeted invasion.
These are the 3 other strongholds and the components you will get:
- Capitol (Receiver)
- Roosevelt Island (Bolt)
- District Union Arena (Stock)
What is a targeted invasion? These are also called Invaded Missions.
In an invaded mission or stronghold, you will face the Black Tusk as enemies instead of the usual 3. Each week, there is a different selection of targeted invasions.
Currently (April 22), for example, District Union Arena is available as a targeted invasion, so get the component before you have to wait again.
Step 3: Get the blueprint
Here’s how to find the Nemesis blueprint: To get the blueprint, you need to complete the targeted invasion Hotel Grand Washington.
You don’t even have to complete it; the blueprint will drop from “Puck”, the first named enemy of the mission relatively early on.
However, it seems you need to complete the mission once before you can get the blueprint.

These are the talents of the Nemesis exotic:
- Counter Sniper: Shots deal 1-100% damage. This depends on how long you charge the shot. To charge a shot, you need to hold the trigger. If you miss your target, the charging time for the next shot decreases.
- Nemesis: If you target an enemy for long enough, they will be marked for 15 seconds. As long as they are marked, you can see enemies through walls, and your damage increases by +5% every second up to a maximum of +50%.
- Preparation: If you carry Nemesis in your holster, the headshot damage of your weapons increases by +25% when aiming with a scope.
To craft Nemesis, you also need 35 polycarbonate, 25 carbon fibers, and 82 closure casing components.
Nemesis is a real beast
This is what makes the exotic weapon so powerful: Sniper rifles generally have a high base damage. However, Nemesis far surpasses other weapons in the same category.
The exotic is even significantly stronger than the individual weapon of the precision shooter, which was previously the most powerful sniper rifle.
Players suspect that the weapon might be nerfed soon. However, at the moment, a well-placed headshot can eliminate almost any enemy with one shot, provided they are not wearing a helmet.
This makes Nemesis currently the strongest weapon in the game, even at higher difficulty levels.
