In The Division Update 1.6 brought an optimization for the PS4 Pro. Apparently, the game now runs in 4K at all times.
As of December, The Division received a “PS4 Pro” support. Along with better shadows and reflections, the UI was rendered in 4K and the game in 1080p.
Update 1.6 has now brought further optimizations that Massive announced but never detailed. Even in the patch notes for 1.6, there is no information regarding the PS4 Pro.
However, if you look at the update history on the console, the line among all the changes is hidden:
PlayStation 4 Pro now uses 4K resolution at all times for better quality.

Alongside the 4K resolution for the PS4 Pro, the update brought another graphical improvement:
The resolution for temporal anti-aliasing and quality in motion has been optimized.

In short: The Division now runs on the Pro in 4K – anytime and anywhere.
However, this optimization also comes with a downside that some users are currently complaining about: The PS4 Pro has to work hard, causing the fan to run at full speed – and make quite a noise.
