Turbulent times for the racing MMO The Crew. The beta for the expansion “Wild Run” now has a date. The development studio Ivory Tower has been acquired by Ubisoft.
The Crew is set to receive the first expansion “Wild Run” in mid-November. There, the vehicle lineup of The Crew will be expanded with some rather exotic vehicles like monster trucks. A kind of motorsport Woodstock called “The Summit” will be added.
A beta for Wild Run has now been scheduled from October 15-18. This is a closed beta only for PC players. You can sign up here on a Ubisoft page. The addon itself will be released on November 17 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, but not for Xbox 360.
Meanwhile, Ubisoft has acquired the development studio behind “The Crew,” Ivory Tower. The 100-man studio will now work under the vast corporate umbrella of the French company. The acquisition followed a long-standing partnership.
