The makers of the Steam hit The Finals presented their new extraction shooter ARC Raiders at the Gamescom 2024.
What kind of game is this? ARC Raiders is a PvPvE shooter on Steam, focusing on action and survival. After the world was invaded by a “mechanized threat” called ARC, humanity retreated to the underground colony Speranza.
To get new supplies, they must regularly come to the surface, exposing themselves to the dangers posed by the robots. The people who gather supplies for the population call themselves ARC Raiders.
Behind the game are Embark Studios, who also developed the shooter The Finals.

ARC Raiders resembles The Division
What do you do in the game? As one of the ARC Raiders, your task is to search the surface for resources and make them available to humanity underground.
Along the way, you will constantly encounter mechanized enemies who want to prevent you from looting. But other people may not always be friendly either. Other players can backstab you to snatch your loot or help you tackle the mechanized enemies.
How does ARC Raiders play? The game is played from a third-person perspective and visually resembles The Division. Besides the PvPvE elements, you must escape from your rounds as typical for extraction shooters to secure your loot. Extraction shooters are currently popular, as evidenced by the biggest competitor to Escape from Tarkov: Free shooter considered a major rival to Tarkov starts next week.
