Which two characters are involved? Among the fans of One Piece, there has long been speculation that Queen, a subordinate of Kaido from Wano Country, could be the father of Franky. On a merch card for Queen, it was noted that he abandoned a son 36 years ago who was 10 years old.
And this fit perfectly with Franky, as he was abandoned by his parents at the age of 10. In Wano Country, the two ultimately confronted each other as enemies within their pirate crews. However, at the time of the battle, neither of them would have known that they were related.
The author of the manga, Eiichiro Oda, left it open whether the two truly belong to the same family. However, in a new Q&A session, the secret was finally revealed.

How did he reveal the secret now? The author of One Piece regularly answers fan questions in SBS volumes. In the 113th volume, he was indeed asked directly whether Franky and Queen are father and son.
Oda responded as follows:
Eh…!!! (Oh no… You’ve noticed! You must have seen it in the One Piece encyclopedia – the Vivre Card from the year Queen’s child was born matches Franky’s birth year! And the year Queen abandoned his child also matches the year Franky was taken in by Tom!! It would be strange if the readers knew something that the characters themselves do not… I have to talk my way out of this somehow…!) N… Nyo, they are… nyot…!!!
The author would have preferred that the secret had never come out. After all, Franky and Queen themselves do not even know that they belong to the same family.
This is why the manga artist stammered and left the fans with a rather peculiar answer, from which we can, however, infer that the two are indeed father and son.
