The zombie game State of Decay 2 has a release date. It will be released on May 22 for PC and Xbox One.
The multiplayer zombie game State of Decay was originally supposed to get a MMO sequel. However, since the fans did not find this idea appealing, the game is now being released as a co-op action game.

Fan feedback is important
The developers of the game have always placed great importance on gathering feedback from players. They want to make a game for the fans. This was also the reason why they decided against developing an MMO. If the fans do not want it, then it should not be forced upon them.
State of Decay 2 will therefore focus on survival in small groups:
- 4-player co-op
- Each of the four characters has skills, as well as advantages and disadvantages
- Team play is important
- Survival in a huge zombie-infested world
- The play area is three times the size of the predecessor
- Day and night cycle
- Tactical decisions (how far will you venture into the world before it gets dark?)
- Resources can be stored (e.g., in the trunk of a car)
- Beautiful game world thanks to Unreal Engine 4
Was it the right decision?
From May 22, you will find out how State of Decay 2 plays and whether it was a good decision by the developers to listen to the community and not make the title an MMO. The game will be available for 29.99 euros for Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs. Additionally, you can also purchase the “Ultimate Edition,” which includes the main game and the two DLCs “Independence Pack” and “Daybreak Pack” for the price of 49.99 euros. Furthermore, the “Ultimate Edition” grants you access to the game starting from May 18.
