The streamer Ludwig Ahgren is concerned about his image as a nice and reasonable YouTuber who pays attention to the products he promotes. But now he really messed up: With dismay, he realized that he had advertised the supposed savings app Honey and had done so enthusiastically.
Why is this so bitter for Ludwig? The streamer Ludwig Ahgren has always cared about his image: He is the nice, reasonable man on YouTube who doesn’t get into any trouble. He has his own company, provides bread and work for employees, and maintains an exemplary relationship with QTCinderella.
Ludwig is the decent voice of reason on YouTube. The worst thing he ever does, is playing League of Legends terribly.
He has made several videos in which he made it clear: Company X offered him a lot of money to promote a product, but he turned down the money because he doesn’t believe in the product. For example, he distanced himself from the company “Air Up” because he finds it unnatural that people can no longer drink water without tricking their tastes.
But now he has messed up.
Ludwig accepted a sponsorship deal for a savings app that has fallen into disrepute
This is what he did: As Ludwig notes in horror, he had accepted a sponsorship for the app Honey and even emphasized in the video that “he is the biggest Honey fan in the world.”
In a stream, he now watched his own commercial and shouted at his past self: “No, Ludwig! You are not the biggest Honey fan in the world, think about it!”
Ironically, he praised his “past self” for saying that Honey does not make money from selling user data, which is true. Because with that, they really do not make money.
However, that Honey did much worse things, Ludwig is now painfully aware. In the end, the streamer takes it bitterly but with humor. He has little choice.
He rejects the idea of deleting that part of the video afterward. It would be even weirder, and no one really watches the old video anyway.
