In Helldivers 2, players managed to complete a general order at the last moment. The developers want to acknowledge this effort and great commitment by offering a reward.
What are general orders? The High Command of the Super-Earth in Helldivers 2 continuously issues general orders to the players. In English, this type of mission is called “Major Order.”
The general orders apply to all Helldivers and require corresponding effort. The objectives are not always easy to achieve. Only when the fighters for freedom and democracy stand together can the goals be reached and the rewards claimed.
In the last general order called “Operation Righteous Expunge,” three planets had to be secured by the Helldivers. These planets had been occupied by the enemy Automatons. The liberation turned out to be difficult and could only be accomplished at the last moment.
In the end, time was running out
What happened? The three planets were called Charon Prime, Charbal VII, and Choepessa IV. The first two were successfully secured, leaving only the third. However, time was running short.
There were 72 hours allocated for the mission. The liberation took a long time. When it finally succeeded, only 43 minutes were left on the clock. The mission could have easily failed if it weren’t for the brave Helldivers who saved the day once again.
This is particularly remarkable, because the general interest in the game has recently decreased. However, there still seem to be motivated defenders of democracy.
This effort did not go unnoticed. The developers at Arrowhead observed the dramatic finale of the mission and have now commented:
With less than 1% of the time available for the general order – 43 minutes out of a total of 72 hours – the Helldivers managed to wrest control of Choepessa IV from the Automatons. This proof of determination and resilience shows that one should not underestimate the efficiency and courage of the Helldivers.

Arrowhead pays close attention to missions and knows how to acknowledge special achievements by players.
Words alone were not enough for the developers to express their gratitude. To acknowledge their players’ achievements, they are now temporarily offering the EXO-49 Emancipator Exosuit for free. “Well fought,” says the Community Manager. The mechs have been available in Helldivers 2 since March 2024.
