For Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, the next major update 1.03 has been released for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Included are the Black Market and the Halloween event – initially only on PS4.
The Black Ops 4 update 1.03 is now live, and the Black Market has opened its doors for players on PS4. Fans on Xbox One and PC will have to wait another week – the shop goes live on these platforms on October 26.
What the Black Market offers in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4
What is the Black Market? The Black Market is a type of in-game shop, but the content is acquired through increasing gameplay progress in multiplayer or in Blackout and not with in-game currency or real money. The Black Market of Black Ops 4 can most closely be compared to the Battle Pass of Fortnite.
By the way: Blackjack’s Shop is set to go online in November. There, players will be able to purchase certain time-limited items directly. The offerings will change weekly.
What content does the Black Market offer? The content is entirely cosmetic and includes, among other things, special themed tags, gestures, character outfits, calling cards, stickers, new Blackout characters, or signature weapons that are exclusively available through the Black Market.

How does the Black Market work? The Black Market is the centerpiece of the so-called “Supply Stream Progression“. This system is intended to supply Black Ops 4 with seasonal content at regular intervals – similar to the seasons in Fortnite.
The individual seasons in Black Ops 4 come in the form of seasonal operations. The operations have a specific duration and can include several individual streams. The streams are themed around a specific topic or motto. Time-limited events can also have their own streams.
Where can I find the Black Market? The Black Market is located on the right side of the screen in the main menu – directly next to the game mode selection.

Players can look forward to these Black Market contents in the coming weeks
The first operation – Operation First Strike – has been live on PS4 since Friday, October 19. The PC and Xbox One will follow a week later.
In the coming weeks, fans will have access to two streams where players can earn different cool cosmetics.
What’s in the Smuggled Goods Stream of the Black Market in Black Ops 4
The Smuggled Goods Stream has already been active since the beginning of Operation First Strike. In this stream, fans can work their way up a total of 200 tiers through in-game progress.
Each tier offers a reward. From various outfit sets, which you can mix and match, to cool calling cards and signature weapons, there is pretty much everything available that there is in cosmetic items.

What the Halloween event brings to Call of Duty: Black Ops 4
On October 20, the Halloween stream will be added to the Black Market on PS4. The PC and Xbox will also join a week later. Special events like the Halloween festival will have the same duration on all platforms – the PS4 simply starts earlier.
As part of the Halloween stream, you can earn special cosmetics in the appropriate festival look. However, unlike the Smuggled Goods Stream, Halloween does not offer a reward at every unlocked tier.
