It is entering the hot phase for World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth. The alpha is over, and the game is now officially in beta.
For several weeks, fans of World of Warcraft have been very concerned. The upcoming expansion “Battle for Azeroth” has been stuck in alpha for a while, and time is running out. In about four months, Battle for Azeroth will celebrate its release, and there has been no sign of an official beta until now.
What has happened: Last night, on 24.04.2018, Battle for Azeroth officially transitioned from alpha to beta. The beta is now live.
Together with the transition to beta, Blizzard has also invited a large number of new players to play on the two beta servers “Anduin” and “Sylvanas”.
Participation in the beta – Here’s how
How you can participate: Haven’t signed up for the beta of Battle for Azeroth yet? Here we explained how the registration works.
Here again is the warning: There are no keys for the beta of Battle for Azeroth. If you have been granted access to the beta, you can simply check this in your Battle.net launcher! If someone tries to sell you a key or asks for your access data, it is a scam.
Level cap has been lifted, characters deleted
With the start of the beta, all existing characters have also been deleted. So if you’ve played in the alpha, you now have to create a new character – but it starts already at level 110, so you can immediately dive into the new content.
In the future, character copying should also be possible – then you can transfer your character from the live version of the game to the beta. However, this feature is still disabled.
The level cap from the alpha has also been lifted. From now on, characters can be played up to the new maximum level of 120!
Are you already in the beta of Battle for Azeroth and busy gaming? Are you still waiting for access? Or do you have access but prefer to wait for the release?
