Blade and Soul
In the MMORPG Blade and Soul, there are two types of PvP opportunities. One is special arenas where you participate in 1v1 or 3v3 duels. However, players also have the option to fight each other anywhere in the game world.
This “World PvP” works as follows:
- You wear a special garment of your faction and signal that you are available for PvP.
- If you encounter players from an opposing faction who are also “flagged,” you can attack them immediately.
- To encourage players to participate in PvP, there are also special PvP quests with unique rewards.
Is Blade & Soul worth it for me?
Also, in Blade & Soul, the action combat system with its intuitive combos, reminiscent of beat ’em ups, stands out. In South Korea, even an eSport scene has emerged around Blade & Soul – unusual for an MMORPG.
