Orcs have always served evil and make up the largest part of Sauron’s army. However, the strength of the creatures massively depends on the specific sub-type. Snagas are, for example, the most common but also the smallest and weakest type. Uruk-hai, on the other hand, were specially bred by Saruman as brutal and powerful warriors. They are larger than men, extremely strong, and fearless in the sunlight.
On average, however, Orcs lack intelligence and finesse in combat. Their advantage lies mainly in their numbers. In a “man versus man” comparison, the servants of evil fare rather poorly. Therefore, they only rank here at 8th place, but at least they are not last.
