What kind of game is this? The MMORPG is the sequel to the 2012 (and released in our region in 2016) Blade & Soul. In the sequel, you will explore a vast world composed of two continents. Each continent is divided into several zones.
In these, you can expect many quests and challenges, as well as secrets. Solving these mysteries will gradually reveal the overall picture of the zone, bringing you the story closer.
Combat is at the heart of the player experience. There are no classes. Your weapons determine your playstyle. Martial arts will once again be in focus. You will be able to jump very high and even fly, which will be integrated into the battles. This means you can fight in mid-air.
What makes it interesting? The trailer already promises action-packed fights and many different combos. Moreover, it graphically reminds of the PC version in terms of playable races and the general world.
Developer NCSoft is also known for mobile MMORPGs. Games like Lineage M and Lineage 2M, which even set record revenues, have already been released. Besides Blade and Soul 2, AION 2 is also being developed as a mobile MMORPG. Less is known about this game.
This is Blade and Soul 2 at best: An action-packed MMORPG for smartphones that can directly connect to the PC version. The original already impressed in 2016, especially with its combat system and graphics.
With complex combos, fair PvP, and varied dungeons, the game has built a fanbase in the West. Blade and Soul 2 could potentially achieve the same.
This is Blade and Soul 2 at worst: Due to the mobile controls, the fights could become less spectacular and less complex than on PC.
Additionally, there are already ongoing discussions regarding the PC version about the Pay2Win issue. This could also threaten the mobile version.
Will the game also be available for PC? Yes, the MMORPG will be playable on PC using Purple, NCSoft’s proprietary program.
