6. The Straw Hat Crew vs. Kuma
After Luffy defeated a Celestial Dragon on the Sabaody Archipelago, the Navy and Admiral Kizaru are mobilized. Consequently, the Straw Hat crew wants to flee, but that proves to be not so easy. First, the crew fights against a Pacifista, which they can defeat with great effort. However, when Bartholomew Kuma appears, the situation becomes hopeless.
The memorable thing about the fight is indeed the hopelessness of the Straw Hats. Kuma is simply on another level and manages to send them away one by one with his ability. The fight is also one of the few moments when Luffy loses his optimism and desperately mourns for his crew.
7. The whole war at Marineford
Marineford is one of the best arcs in One Piece, and this is evident in the many battles. Although they don’t last as long as other fights, they have etched themselves into the community’s consciousness. Just scenes like Luffy standing in front of the admirals with the log pose are iconic.
Otherwise, there are the spectacular clashes like that of Kizaru and Marco, the battle between Garp, Sengoku, and the Blackbeard pirates, and no One Piece fan will ever forget the moment when Whitebeard went after Akainu.
