Feeling like a round of classic fantasy fare? It can’t get more classic than in Neverwinter, as the MMORPG is based on the Dungeons & Dragons tabletop role-playing game, essentially the father of all RPGs.
Neverwinter places you in the eponymous city, which is threatened by dark forces. Fortunately, many heroes gather in the town to fight against evil.
PvE is at the center of the adventure. You complete numerous quests and progress in the story, which also takes you out of the city. For example, you fight snow monsters in the frigid northern Icewind Dale and massive dinosaurs in the jungles of Chult. Everywhere you find valuable loot with which you can improve your hero. Additionally, you collect classic EXP to gain further skills.
The console versions of Neverwinter are popular and play very well thanks to well-thought-out controller support. Regular new content ensures a steady stream of experiences, so you won’t get bored during your adventure through the world of the Forgotten Realms. Neverwinter is funded through an item shop.
