3. The Spider Monster
What is the Spider Monster? The Spider Monster was created from the piece of the Mind Flayer that Will carried within him. After a new portal was opened, this piece awakened and took over various living beings (including humans) in Hawkins.
These living beings became a biomass, from which the large Spider Monster formed, which physically existed in Hawkins and hunted the children. The creature is between 9 and 10 meters tall and correspondingly strong. Unlike the previous entries on this list, the Spider Monster also possesses a certain intelligence.
The group tried to weaken the monster with fireworks, but that didn’t help much. Without Billy, who confronted the monster at the last moment, El would have died. The monster could only be eliminated after the portal to the Upside Down was closed, thus severing the connection to the collective consciousness.
Without closing the portal, it would have been difficult to defeat the monster, likely requiring a lot of firepower.
