Rank 4: Klauth
Rank 4 is one of the oldest and most powerful of the red dragons ever to roam Faerûn: Klauth. His ridiculously exaggerated egocentrism and his penchant for destruction are among his trademarks – just like his nearly unmatched wealth in his hoard.
During his thousands of years of life, he has brought numerous kingdoms to their knees, and the fact that he is several thousand years old despite his destructive and insane nature shows just how great his power is. He sees himself as a sort of precursor to the gods and is convinced that even they fear him, as no one can stop him in his endeavors.
He is also known as the “Dragon Slayer,” a title earned because his hunger for power leads him to sacrifice his own kind and dragon eggs to strengthen himself. Additionally, he is a highly aggressive loner, extremely cunning and skilled. Whenever he leaves his hoard, he carries six wands on his wings that grant him additional combat strength.
