Escape from Tarkov by Battlestate Games places you in the fictional Russian city of Tarkov, which has been sealed off after a military conflict. You join as a mercenary either of the two groups USEC or BEAR and try to profit from the situation while finding a way to escape the city. Because there, the scavengers run rampant, plunderers who fear nothing. You explore the city searching for loot that you can either use yourself or sell, while constantly facing dangers. The opposing factions are at war everywhere.
The online shooter focuses on plenty of realism. Both with the weapons – which you can upgrade through numerous mods and which can even overheat or experience a jam – as well as during the fights. A hit from a bullet can already be fatal if you do not treat the wound quickly.
In addition, you must drink water and eat food. It is even possible to become poisoned. You improve your character based on many skills and need to complete various missions, as the story is at the center of Escape from Tarkov.

In addition to fighting, trading with NPCs is also on the agenda. Depending on how high your reputation is, you can demand better prices for your loot. Or you become a trader yourself and try to gain wealth in this way. A beta for Escape from Tarkov is starting soon. A release towards the end of the year is conceivable.
